Eight places in Greece, and why we go to each
Greece has well over a hundred inhabited islands and a mainland most visitors see from a plane window. We go to eight places, chosen for what they give you in two days and how they fit together on a ferry schedule. Each page says what you see there with a licensed guide, when to go, how long the road or the ferry takes, and which of our trips includes it.

Athens
The city we run the trips from: the Acropolis with a guide, and neighborhoods where dinner starts at nine.

Meteora
Six working monasteries on sandstone pillars above the plain of Thessaly.

Delphi
The sanctuary where the ancient world came with its questions, on the slopes of Parnassus.

Naxos
The green island in the middle of the Cyclades: mountain villages, long beaches, a marble gateway over the harbor.

Paros
Marble quarries, the fishing harbor of Naoussa, and Antiparos seven minutes away.

Milos
A volcanic coastline of white rock, caves and painted boathouses.

Santorini
The caldera, saved for the end of two trips.

Crete
Almost a country of its own, so it gets its own trip.
