How a trip with us works, from the first email to the last morning
You’ve found a trip, you like the dates, and you’ve never booked a group trip before. This page is the whole process, in order, including the parts that usually live in the fine print.
1. The dates reach the list first
Each trip has a page with its dates, hotels, price and day-by-day program. Before a departure goes on the page, it goes by email to the people on that trip’s list. Join the list for the trip you want, or the one for all our trips, and you’ll read it before anyone else.
2. What the price covers
The trip page lists what’s included and what isn’t, line by line, before you pay: hotels, transport between stops, guided visits, meals, entrance tickets, each one marked in or out. Flights to Greece are yours to book; the program says where the trip starts and ends, and when, so you can.

3. Booking and paying
You book directly with us, from the trip page. Payment is by card: a deposit when you book and the balance before the trip, with the amounts and the balance date on the trip page. Your confirmation arrives by email with the hotels named, the program and what happens next. The cancellation terms are on the trip page, in full, before you pay.
4. Before you fly
Before the trip you get the final program, the hotel addresses and the trip manager’s contact. The program says where and when the trip starts, so you can land in time for the first dinner, and where it ends, so you can book the flight home or stay on.
5. On the trip
A trip manager from our Athens team is with the group from the first dinner to the last morning. At every archaeological site and museum on the program, a licensed guide leads the visit. The hotels are central, so you walk to dinner. Days have a program and free time, and the program for each departure is published with its dates.

Questions
- How much does a trip to Greece cost?
- Our prices are published with each departure, on the trip page, and they reach the list first. The price is per person in a shared twin room, with the single-room price next to it, and what’s in it is listed line by line, so you can compare it with any other trip on what’s actually included.
- Who else is on the trip?
- Groups of 16 or fewer, built for people who come on their own, in their 30s, 40s and early 50s. Couples and friends are welcome.
- Can I come as a couple or with a friend?
- Yes. You book two places and tell us you’re together. How rooms work for two people booking together is written on the trip page.
- Do I need to speak Greek?
- No. The trip runs in English: the guides are licensed and work in English, the trip manager is from Athens, and English is widely spoken in Greek hotels, restaurants and shops.
- What’s not included?
- Each trip page has a “not included” list, as long as it needs to be. Nothing you’d have to pay for during the trip is left off it.
- What if I have to cancel?
- The cancellation terms are on each trip page before you pay, with the dates and the amounts. Read them before you book, and ask us anything that isn’t clear.
- How fit do I need to be?
- Our days include walking on uneven ground and steps at sites like the Acropolis and the Meteora monasteries. Each destination page says what the ground is like, and each trip page says how much walking its program has.
- Can I arrive earlier or stay longer?
- Yes. The trip has a start and an end, and before and after you’re on your own. Tell us, and we’ll tell you what we’d do with an extra day in Athens.
